She

ARTIST: Cyndi Lauper (Google this artist)
ALBUM: She's So Unusual (re-issue)
LABEL: Epic / Legacy
RELEASED: 2000 (original release date 1984)

Legacy's re-issue of Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual brings back an 80's staple and shines the discerning light of time on it. While Cyndi continues to release great music today, her debut will be remembered and forever frozen as a solid and timely piece of music (and video) history.

Produced by Rick Chertoff, who would again prove his hit-making ability with Sophie B. Hawkins and Joan Osborne in the '90's, She's So Unusual is a marvel of songs, sounds and of course, accompanying videos. In addition to those co-written by Cyndi the album contains versions of Prince's "When You Were Mine," Jules Shear's "All Through The Night" and Cyndi's commanding version of The Brains "Money Changes Everything," which became somewhat of a live signature song for her, with its brilliant, octave-traversing vocal.

The re-issue contains excellent album notes, new photos and three live bonus tracks, "Money Changes Everything," "She Bob" and "All Through The Night."
