MMW have succeeded in bringing together
a wide range of diverse styles and creating music that is
unique, derivative and bizarre all at the same time. Their
latest release, The Dropper, brings to mind the free-form
jam sensations of The Grateful Dead and Phish, the musical
sensibilities and ambition of John Coltrane and Miles Davis,
and the wild-abandon of Jimi Hendrix. This is a disc that
requires more than one spin to get over the, "that's just
a bunch of noise" hump. Once you do, you'll find it beats,
grooves and slithers with more and more appeal.
